Officials’ Code of Conduct

De La Salle Old Collegians Amateur Football Club (DLSOCAFC) is committed to providing men and women with the opportunity to play an enjoyable and competitive game of Australian Rules Football in a safe and supportive environment. This code of conduct has been developed to give officials an understanding of their responsibilities to ensure these objectives are met.

All Officials will:

  • respect the rights, dignity and worth of all individuals, by refraining from any discriminatory practices including, but not limited to, discrimination on the basis of race, religion, gender, ethnic background, special ability/disability or sexual orientation, preference or identity

  • always display fairness and uniformity in applying the Club and VAFA rules and policies

  • refrain from using verbal or physical abuse in any form, whether it is against spectators, match officials or players

  • lead by example and be a positive role model in behaviour and personal appearance

  • at all times refrain from utilising inappropriate language

  • avoid any remarks that could be construed as offensive or discriminatory

  • at all times respect the facilities and the equipment provided

  • not consume alcohol during VAFA games except at officially designated events.

Breach of this Code of Conduct

Any officials who bring the DLSOCAFC into disrepute through breaching this Code of Conduct may be investigated in accordance with the Club’s grievance processes
